The training will include:

Sam Kettlewell is a dedicated Youth Worker with over fifteen years of experience in mentoring and empowering young people. Known for her compassionate approach and unwavering commitment, Sam has positively impacted countless lives through her work in various youth organisations and community programs.

With a background in Youth Development and a degree in Youth Work from the University of Victoria, Sam began her career as a youth development officer in local government. Her passion for helping young people navigate the challenges of adolescence quickly led to leadership roles, where she developed and implemented innovative programs aimed at promoting mental health, educational achievement, and social skills.

Sam's expertise lies in creating safe and supportive environments where young people can thrive. She has worked extensively with at-risk young people throughout Australia, providing support and resources to help them overcome obstacles and achieve their full potential. Her approach is holistic, focusing not just on immediate needs but also on long-term personal and professional growth, assisting young people to develop their agency.

In addition to her hands-on work with young people, Sam is an advocate for systemic change in youth services. She regularly collaborates with schools, government agencies, and non-profits to develop policies and programs that address the root causes of youth issues. Her efforts have been recognised with several career advancements and awards such as Podcast of the year #Grit One road in, one road out and receiving highly commended in the Brilliant Idea Team category.

Sam currently serves as the Director of Change the Cycle, where she provides professional supervision to Youth Practitioners, continuing to advocate, inspire, and support other dedicated professionals. Additionally, Sam teaches at TAFE NSW within the Health and Wellbeing team.

Sam also currently sits on multiple executive committees, including Conveyor Youth Work NSW, Youth Work Australia, and PALYCW - the Professional Association for Lecturers in Youth and Community Work Australia.
